WEIGHT CONTROL MYTHS

You should weigh yourself everyday:

Wrong. Your body weight changes everyday due to fluid retention, hormonal changes and other variables. Weighing yourself everyday is very self defeating and will cause you to become discouraged. Weigh every 3 to 4 weeks after starting a good diet and exercise plan.

Fat Free, means I can eat all I want without getting fat:

Wrong. Many fat free foods can be high in calories due to high sugar content. There is nothing wrong with eating fat free foods in moderation. You can still consume too many calories gorging on fat free or low fat foods. Moderation is the key to success.

Butter has more calories than margarine:

Wrong. They are identical in calorie content.

Dinner should be your biggest meal.

Wrong. Your body will burn calories more efficiently if you eat smaller meals for dinner and consume most of your calories before evening.
