WEDDING DAY STORIES

Well, the wedding is over and went over wonderfully. Saturday I was up & packing our hotel bag at 9 and had my hair done at 11. They were actually able to pull it into a French twist with curls at the top. It looked great! I was incredibly happy with it. Got to the location just after 12:30 and did the last minute set up. Everything was going wonderfully. Out of all the RSVP only 1 person couldn't make it.

We did our individual family pictures before the ceremony and had a marvelous photographer. The ceremony started a little bit late, the minister arrived a bit late due to traffic. Ceremony was candlelit and was absolutely gorgeous. Had a candleabra arch and 2 side candleabras. Also had a beautiful brass unity candle holder. When we were doing our preliminary vows, I started fighting tears of joy. When Tony was saying the vows to me, I started crying. I didn't choke on mine though, so I was quite happy.

We had about 20 or 30 pictures taken right after the ceremony and had our food afterwards. The limo arrived on time and we went to our hotel for the night and had a horse drawn carriage ride. It truly was a magical day.

The weather was perfect!..a gorgeous sunny day (you take your chances in Oregon) we took most of our pictures outside in a beautiful garden the chapel had. The ceremony itself was wonderful. We laughed..giggled..and some people cried. One of the funniest moments was when my 4 yr old niece..a flower girl..had to use the rest room..in the middle of the ceremony....her dad quietly as possible snuck her out...while in the restroom she told him "I tired to wait..but they just kept talking and wouldn't KISS"..we had some trouble getting the unity candle to light.. but all worked out in the end...The other flower girl..also four..."forgot" to hand out her tulips on her way down the asile...(no big deal)..but after the wedding she "remembered" and went running back into the chapel to hand them out..thought it was really cute. Our photographer and videographer were great..they had every one laughing and smiling...cant wait to get our pictures and video back... And for those of you..considering using tulips..they worked out great!!!..had no problems with them opening up too much ..even though we were outside in the 70 degree weather for most of the morning..they still looked beautiful for the ceremony..and even a few of them have lasted through the week... The reception was good..had LOTS of food...and WE actually sat down and ate a quick bite..lol. He whisked me off to a surprise honeymoon.. I had no idea where we were going until we got to the airport on Sunday morning.. He planned the whole thing.. We ended up in Palm Springs, CA was VERY relaxing. Secrets about Men! Kass
