Brig. Gen. Joseph Reynolds with two brigades advanced from Cheat Mountain to the Confederate position at Camp Bartow on the Greenbrier River. Reynolds opened fire with his artillery. After sporadic fighting, Reynolds withdrew to Cheat Mountain.
