Red Rock Canyon

The Red Rock Canyon is a collection of hot red colored sandstone formations in a valley about 15 miles west of downtown Las Vegas. The cliff faces within the valley can reach as high as 600 meters. An important geologic feature of Red Rock Canyon is the "Keystone Thrust Fault".
