Mark Spitz was born on February 10, 1950.
Spitz started swimming from a young age and use to swam at Waikiki Beach every day.
Later, the Spitz family moved back to California.
At only 15 years old, Mark Spitz won Spitz won four gold medals at the Maccabiah Games in Tel Aviv in August, 1965.
By 1972, Mark Spitz had set 23 world swimming records.
At the 1968 Olympics, Mark Spitz won won two gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal.
At the Munich Olympic Games Mark Spitz went on to win an amazing seven gold medals.
