Joe DiMaggio Biography

Joe DiMaggio was born November 25, 1914, Martinez, California. Often known as "The Yankee Clipper".

DiMaggio hit safely in 56 straight games in 1941. Joe led the New York Yankees to 10 World Series titles. DiMaggio retired in 1951. in 1955, Joe was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Married to actress Marilyn Monroe for a short period of time in 1954. Joe DiMaggio died on March 8, 1999.
