JAPANESE SPITZ

The Japanese Spitz is thought to be the large sized white German Spitz that came to Japan around 1920. Later on two pairs of white Spitz were imported from Canada and then others arrived from Canada, U.S., Australia and China.

From these different imports came the Japanese Spitz. A unified breed standard was established by the Japan Kennel Club in 1948.

The Japanese Spitz is always white in color. It has a height of around 10 to 15 inches and a weight of around 12 to 13 lbs.

A very friendly and loyal dog it goes well with both adults and children.
