The origins of the Schnauzer can be traced to Germany where it was used as a ratter and farm dog.
Later they were used to protect royal courts and castles.
There are three recognized varieties of Schnauzers, standard, miniature, giant.
The Schnauzer can be a calm and restful dog yet can also be an active dog at the same time.
Schnauzer also go good with children.
