Tsar Nicholas II

Nicholas II was born May 6, 1868. His father was Alexander III and his mother was Maria Fyodorovna. When his father died in 1894, Nicholas II went on to ascend to the throne. His official title was Nicholas II, Emperor and Autocrat of All the Russias.

Tsar Nicholas II had four daughters and a son. Russia was involved in two wars during the reign of Nicholas II, both of which took a heavy toll.

On March 2, 1917, Nicholas II was forced to abdicate. Tsar Nicholas II and his family were shot dead on July 17, 1918.
