King Harold 11 died Senlac, Sussex, October 14, 1066.
King Harold 11 was buried in Pevensey Bay, later allegedly moved to Waltham Abbey.
He was killed attempting to repel the Norman invaders.
Harold's body was buried in a grave of stones overlooking the shore, and was only given a proper funeral years later in his church of Waltham Holy Cross in Essex.
