The Life of Elizabeth I

Queen Elizabeth 1 saved England by creating the Church of England, based on the Thirty Nine Articles. Sometimes called The Virgin Queen, Gloriana, or Good Queen Bess, Elizabeth was the fifth and last monarch of the Tudor dynasty. In government, Elizabeth was more moderate than her father and siblings. One of her mottoes was video et taceo: "I see but say nothing". This strategy, viewed with impatience by her counsellors, often saved Elizabeth from political and marital misalliances.

Queen Elizabeth 1 Quotes:
I may not be a lion, but I am a lion's cub, and I have a lion's heart....Quote by Queen Elizabeth I.

I know I have the body of a weak and feeble woman, but I have the heart and stomach of a king, and of a king of England too; and think foul scorn that Parma or Spain, or any prince of Europe, should dare to invade the borders of my realm....Quote by Queen Elizabeth I.
