PAPILLON

The Papillon takes his name from the French word for butterfly. The history of the Papillon may be traced to the Royal Toy Spaniels of Europe.

Papillons were well known throughout Europe and were a favourite of the ladies of Aristocracy. Marie Antoinette carried her favourite Papillon to the guillotine with her.

Papillons are a very frindly, loving breed of dog. They like lots of attention and like to give lots of love in return.

The average show Papillon is between 8 to 12" in hieght and weighs 3 to 10 lbs.
