OGDOAD

An Ogdoad is a pantheon of eight dietys.

The cosmogony in ancient Egypt took on this form.

The Gnostic system of Valentinus also used this term.

In the beginning was Abyss (masculine). This gave rise to silence (feminine).

From there came Word (masculine). Followed by Life (feminine).

Then from the union came Man (masculine) and Church (feminine).
