Don Adams was born April 13, 1923, in New York.
His birth name was Donald James Yarmy, but later when he married Adelaide Adams he adopted her family name.
At only 19, Don Adams joined the Marines and later fought at Guadalcanal.
During the 1950`s he became a stand up comedian.
His big break came when he starred in the "Get Smart" show.
Don Adams went on to win three Emmy Awards for his role of Max in the show.
