In Scandanavian and mythology Moss Folk were fairy who lived in the forest.

From time to time the fairy would borrow domestic goods.

From time to time they would borrow from people, but would always pay this back ten times over.

Sometimes the Moss Folk would beg for breast milk to feed their young.
