GREAT WALL CHINA

The Great Wall of China was was built in the 3rd century B.C. The Great China Wall was then completed in 204 B.C.

The construction of the China Great Wall originally began as a series of separate walls. The Great Wall extends for about 1500 miles from the Gansu province to the Bohai Gulf.

It took 300,000 men a total of 10 years to complete just one section of the China Great Wall.

In 1994, the Space Shuttle Endeavor took radar images of the Great Wall from outerspace. Chinese scientists studying these radar images of the Great Wall of China then conclude that two different dynasties built the Great Wall. The section was built during the Sui Dynasty and is more than 1,000 years old. The other section of the China Great Wall was built by the Ming Dynasty and is about 600 years old.
