MAYA

In Buddhism, Maya was the mother of Gautama.

A chaste and virtuous woman she was Queen of the Sakyas.

Maya was prepared by the wives of the Gods for the birth of Gautama who entered who womb in the form of an elephant.

Maya then died exactly seven days after the birth of Gautama.
