MANCHESTER TERRIER

The origins of the Manchester Terrier may be traced to Manchester, England where records date back to the 1500's. The Manchester Terrier was often used to deal with the problem of rodents such as rats and mice.

They would also be taken along on the fox hunts in saddle bags to be turned on the fox when it went to ground.

The Manchesters Terrier is a very clean and easily housebroken dog. They have a very stable temperment and are good with the family.

There are two varieties of Manchester Terrier. The first is the Toy variety which may weigh up to 12 lbs and the second is the Standard variety which weighs over 12 lbs but not to exceed 22 lbs.
