An Italian psychologist reportedly has used computer microprocessors to produce a modern form of the chastity belt.

THe founder of the school of courtship and seduction plans to sell the chastity belt to what he describes as a growing number of suspicious husbands and wives.

The chastity belt is actually a "chastity timer". A timer is attached to the elastic of a normal pair of men or women's underpants, which records the frequency and length of time that undergarments are removed.

Work is underway on a newer version that would sound an alarm on any partners mobile phone if the chastity timer stayed open for more than five minutes.
