I met George through a nagging friend who said she knew this guy and she wanted to fix me up.
I had been on so many blind date nightmares that I was not going to go through it again so I said no.
She kept persisting and I finally said I would meet him for a lunch but I decided that I was putting no pressure on it and at the very least I might make a new friend and you can always use more of those.
I went to his house and he fixed me lunch (my friend and her husband were there also) and I came straight from an exercise class and I was on my way to work so I looked like h*ll (no makeup and little hair fussing).
I decided he was going to meet the real me and if that did not scare him we might have a chance.
I left there thinking he was cute and we had some good conversation but I didn't think he was the type who would be interested in me.
My friend called me and said he had asked for my number and she wanted permission to give it to him and I consented.
Our second date was bowling and I kicked his a**. I knew if he could survive that anything was possible.
We have been together ever since.
