Jormungandr was a sea sepent who was the offspring of the Norse God Loki.

Jormungandr occupied the mid portion of the Earth and bites its own tail.

At Ragnarok, Jormungandr whips the seas into violence and blows clouds of poison over the earth and sky.

Jormungandr is eventually killed by Thor at the final battle with the Gods.
