The Irish Terrier was originally bred as a farm and hunting dog for vermin and small game.
Being a Terrier they make excellent gaurd dogs.
Yet they are very gentle with children.
The Irish Terrier loves to fight with other dogs and is not averse to having a go with other dogs.
