Oliver Evans Biography

Oliver Evans was born in 1755, in Delaware. Evans built the first steam river dredge to be used in the United States.

Within the textile and flour mill industry, Evans developed and invented a number of products including possibly the first industrial conveyor belt, grain-handling machines, and a card teeth maker for wool.

Oliver Evans died in 1819.
