Horse rarely are forced to jump in the wild and their long muzzles make it difficult to judge distance.

The Horse must learn to trust their rider.

A very strong and brave horse is needed as a jumper, tall enough to tackle obstacles more then 6 feet high.

Jumping classes are commonly seen at horse shows throughout the world, including the Olympics.
