The Salerno Horse was developed in the Salerno area near Naples, during the 16th century.
The Salerno was the result of cross-breeding between Andalusians and Neapolitans.
Use : Riding, showjumoing.

Colours : All solid colours.
Identifying Features : Large head, good shoulders, prominent withers, sloping hindquarters, good legs, good feet, long mane, long tail.
Once used in the Italian cavalry.
Good riding horse.
