The Oldenburg was originaly bred from Friesian mares with Danish, Turkish, Neopolitan, and Andalusian stallions.

Colours : All solid colours.
Identifying Features : Straight profile, strong neck, long shoulders, muscular chest, muscular body, powerful hindquarters, strong legs, well shaped feet.
Originally developed as a coach horse.
The modern horse is a good all rounder.
