LIPIZZANER HORSE

The Lipizzaner Horse breed dates back to the 16th century. The horse take its name from Lipica, a Kras village in modern-day Slovenia, near Trieste, Italy.

Use : Carriage, high school dressage.

Height : 15 - 16 hh.

Colours : Usually grey, but sometimes brown colours.

Identifying Features : Large head, straight nose, small ears, crested neck, compact body, powerful hindquarters, strong legs.

Famous for the riding displays given at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna.

Intelligent, strong and obedient horse.
