GELDERLANDER HORSE

The Gelderlander Horse gets its name from the Dutch Province of Gelderland where it originated. The Gelderland breed comes from crossbreeding between old local breeds, Anglo-Norman, Hackney, the Thoroughbred, Oldenburg, and the East Friesian.

Use : Harness, riding.

Height : 15.2 - 16.2 hh.

Colours : Solid colours.

Identifying Features : Plain head, strong back, compact body, long back, powerful hindquarters, short clean legs.

These days mainly used as a carriage horse.
