CLEVELAND HORSE

The Cleveland Bay is a carriage-type horse, and is always true to its color: bay. The Cleveland is believed to be the oldest breed in Britain, (besides the native ponies).

Use : Saddle, harness.

Height : 15.2 - 16.2.

Colours : Bay.

Identifying Features : Large head, strong neck, thick black mane, long deep body, powerful quarters, strong clean legs.

From Yorkshire, England in the middle ages.

Resued as a breed in the 1960`s by Queen Elizabeth 11.

This horse is often seen drawing the Royal Carriages.
