Identifying Features : Fine silky mane, short head, large nostrils, dished face, short back, slender legs, hard feet, short cannons.

For as long as 4,500 years the Beouin of Arabia have bred these horses.

Introduced into Europe during the 7th century.

The Arab is the founder of many breeds, including the Thoroughbred.

The Arab has incredible stamina and can maintain a run for over 100 miles.
