The Vladimir Horse is used as a Heavy draught. This breed was developed in Ivanovo and Vladimir regions.

Height : 16 - 17 hh.

Colours : Brown, bay.

Identifying Features : Heavy head, powerful neck, burly body, stocky legs, long mane, long tail.

Recognized as a breed in 1946. The Soviet Army used them to supply the artillery. They are able to pull over six tons loads.

Used for agricultural work. The live birth rate being 75-80 foals per 100 mares.
