MENS HEALTH

Research shows that Men live an average of seven years less than women. Men also suffer from the highest rate of heart and lung disease.

Men also die of heart and lung disease at twice the rate of women. Men are more likely to suffer from mental illness and one in five men have a sexually transmitted disease.

What makes this even more of a problem is that men are less likely to seek professional help.

In the UK, the Men's Health Forum was founded in 1994. The first National Men’s Health Week was held in the USA in 1994. The first UK week took place in 2002, and the event went international the following year.
