There is a legend that when an old sailor dies on land, a ghost ship called the Ship O The Dead, sails in through the air to collect the ghost of the sailor.
In some cases it has been reported the ship takes the form of a bird.
In other cases it is reported the Ship is of the old wooden variety.
The ship travels in silence, but a fog or mist usually appears before its arrival.
No sailors are reported to be on the ship which appears to be deserted.
