GERMAN SPITZ

The Germanic countries developed the German Spitz as a companion and utility dog.

In Germany they were nicknamed the "Mistbeller". Originally the German Spitz was used as an advance warning system for the bigger dogs on the farm in Europe.

Its the colour and size that actually divides the large group of German Spitz dogs.

Height - Klein- 9 to 11 inches (23 to 28 cm). Mittel - 11 1/2 to 14 inches (29 to 35 1/2 cm).

A Spitz is robust, agile, alert, loyal and intelligent. You should also know that the German Spitz is a dog that barks a lot.
