FELDENKRAIS

Born in Russia Moshe Feldenkrais was an atomic physicist who worked in France until WW11. During the war he escaped to England.

Suffering from a serious knee injury he began to study human movement. In 1950 he went to live in Israel where he was able to further develop his method.

In 1962 he founded the Feldenkais institute in Tel Aviv. There are now over 2,600 practitioners of his method worldwide.

Practitioners are really teachers of the method. Practitioners believe that our movements and posture reflect our nervous system.

The Feldenkrais method is based on two approaches. The first is awareness through movement.

This learning aims to replace old patterns of your movement with new ones. The second is functional integration.

This is a one to one technique that uses touch and manipulation. This is tailored to your specific needs.
