Rifat Ozbek was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1953.
Ozbek shifted to England in 1970 where he attended Liverpool University to study architecture.
In 1974, Rifat joined St. Martin's School of Art, London and studied fashion design and graduated with honours.
Ozbek joined Monsoon in London and worked there for three years.
In 1984, Rifat founded his own company.
Ozbek gained more recognition when he designed some dresses for Princess Diana.
In 1989, Ozbek was awarded, Designer of the year.
In 1995, he launched his own perfume, Ozbek.
