Beth Levine, was (born Elizabeth Katz), in 1914 in Patchogue, New York.
During the 1930s, Beth moved to Manhattan and worked as a shoe model.
Later, Beth became a stylist.
She married Herbert Levine in the 1940s.
In 1948, together they founded a new company under the name, "Herbert Levine".
Beth Levine was the name featured as the primary shoe designer.
In 1967, Levine was awarded the Coty Award for design innovation.
Beth Levine became very popular when Nancy Sinatra wore Levine`s boots in publicity shots for the hit song, These Boots Are Made for Walkin.
Beth Levine died on September 20, 2006.
