Vivienne Westwood was born in 1941 in Tintwistle, Cheshire, England.
Vivienne studied at the Harrow School of Art (University of Westminster).
Westwood set up a Boutique in Londons Worlds End in 1971 called Let It Rock with Malcolm McLaren.
The shop gained fame when the Sex Pistols wore clothes from the shop at their first gig.
Westwoods fashion became the street style of the Punk Era.
In the 1980s, she pioneered the New Romantics look.
In 1981, Westwood had her first runway show, the Pirate collection in London.
In 2006, Westwood accepted a DBE in the New Years Honours List "For Services to Fashion".
Vivienne has twice been awarded the British Designer of the Year.
