Emanual Ungaro was born in Aix-en-Provence, France in 1933.

Started as a tailor in the family business.

In 1955, joined Balenciaga in Paris.

In 1961, he joined Courreges.

In 1965 he opened his own House. In 1968, he created his first pret-a-porter collection, Parallèle. He also opened a boutique at 2, avenue Montaigne in Paris. In 1973, Ungaro launched his first menswear collection, Ungaro Uomo. In 1983, he released his first perfume, Diva.
