Gruppa La Perla was founded in 1954 by Italian designer Ada Masotti.
Dhe worked from a small workshop in Bologna.
In the 1960s, Dr. Alberto Masotti joined the company.
In the 1980s, the company diversified into other preoducts including perfume and swimwear.
In the 1990s, Gruppa La Perla opened boutiques in major cities around the world.
