Geoffrey Beene was born August 30, 1924, in Louisiana, USA.
He originally studied studied medicine at Tulane University.
Studied : Trahagen School of Fashion in New York and Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture and Academie Julian in Paris.
During the 1950s Beene worked for several different companies.
In 1963 Beene opened on Seventh Avenue in New York.
Beene died on September 28, 2004, at the age of 80.
