Georgina Godley

Georgina Godley was born in 1955 in London, U.K. Godley studied at Wimbledon School of Art, then as a fine artist at Brighton Polytechnic, then to Chelsea School of Art.

After her studies, Godley worked as a freelance designer, art restorer and mannequin maker.

During the late 1970s, Georgina was a designer for Browns, London and Paris.

In 1981, Godley partnered with a Scott Crolla to found a menswear boutique in London.

In 1985, she parted from Crolla and founded her own label under Georgina Godley Ltd. Georgina Godley went on to be a lecturer at St. Martin's School of Art and School of Fashion and Textiles, and a member of the British Fashion Council Designer Committee.
