Wendy Dagworthy

Wendy Dagworthy was born 1950 in Kent, England. Dagworthy studied at the Medway College of Art from 1966 to 1968, then from 1968 she studied art and design at Middlesex Polytechnic (now Middlesex University), from where she graduated with first-class honours.

For awhile, Wendy worked for wholesale manufacturer Radley. Then in 1972, Dagworthy founded her own business in London, Wendy Dagworthy Ltd.

In 1975, Dagworthy joined the London Designer Collections. In 1982, she became a director.

In 1998, Dagworthy closed her business and in 1989 she became the course director for the BA fashion program at London's Central St. Martin's College of Art and Design. She remained there until 1998.

Dagworthy became the head professor of fashion at the Royal College of Art in 1998.
