Roberto Capucci Biography

Roberto Capucci was a fashion designer that was born December 2, 1929, in Italy. During his carreer as a fashion designer Capucci earned the nikname of "the Givenchy of Rome".

Roberto in Rome at the Accademia delle Belle Arti. After his studies, Capucci worked for a period with designer, Emilio Schuberth.

In 1950, Capucci founded his own fashion house. In 1956, he was awarded the Medal of Gold of Venice. In 1962, he opened a couture salon in Paris.

Capucci eventually returned to Rome, where he continued work in the fashion industry, before semi-retiring in 1980s.
