Cacharel

Cacharel was founded by Jean Henri Bousquet. Bousquet was born 1932 in Nimes, France. At just 15 years old, Jean Henri was as an apprentice tailor. He would later study at the Ecole Technique, in Nimes.

He moved to Paris in 1956 and eventually opened a small atelier making mens shirts. He named his new fashion house Cacharel.

He soon stopped making mens clothes and moved into clothes for women. Cacharel introduced ready-to-wear designs with highly colourful patterns in the 1970`s.

Numerous designers have worked at Cacharel over the years including Emanuelle Khanh and Atsuro Tayama.
