Elio Berhanyer was born Eliseo Berenguer in 1929 in Spain.
Berhanyer joined La Moda fashion magazine in 1958.
Elio then founded his own salon in Madrid in 1959.
Berhanyer was a self-taught designer of great success.
In 1969, Berhanyer introduced his Fragrance line along with shoes, neckties, gloves and handkerchiefs.
In 1967, Berhanyer represented Spain in the International Fashion Week of Mexico.
Elio opened a boutique in Mexico in 1983.
Berhanyer was also the recipient of the Spanish National Prize.
