JACQUES CARTIER BIOGRAPHY

Jacques Cartier was born 1491, in St. Malo, France (Then Brittany).

Cartier was appointed by Francis I in 1534, to explore North America. Jacques discovered of the St. Lawrence River.

In 1541, Cartier made a third and final exploration of the area.

Jacques Cartier died in 1557.
