Robert Bartlett was born August 15, 1875, in Brigus, Newfoundland.
In 1905, and again in 1909, Bartlett Captained the "Roosevelt" on its explorations of the Arctic.
In 1909, Robert Bartlett received the Hubbard Medal.
In 1925, Bartlett bought a schooner from an Uncle, which he called his "little Morrissey".
Robert went on to make some 20 voyages to the Arctic.
Robert Bartlett died on April 28, 1946, in New York.
