CORGIS

CARDIGAN CORGI

The Cardigan Corgi is one of the very oldest of Welsh dog breeds and is acknowledged as being the original Corgi. They were used as sheep and cattle herders, guard dogs, farm dogs and companions in the lonely crofters’ huts of the remote Welsh hillside county of Cardiganshire.

PEMBROKE CORGI

The Pembroke Corgi originated from the bob-tailed cattle dogs of the Pembrokeshire area in Wales. Chosen as a pet by the British Royal Family in 1935 they are still the favorite of the Queen today.

With an ideal height of 10 - 12 inches (25.5 to 30.5 cm) and weight 22 to 26 lbs (10-12 kg’s) makes them small enough to live happily in the suburban backyard.
