COLON THERAPY

Colon therapy which is a detoxifacation process can be traced back through history to the times of ancient Egypt, India and China. The method however that is used in the western world today can be traced to the 19th century European spas.

The practioners of colon therapy claim that faecal matter may cling to the wall of the colon and then may be reabsorbed into the bloodstream. The aim of colon therapy is to remove this waste by flushing it away with purified water.

The patient lies on a table and a tube is inserted into the rectum. Filtered water is administered under very gentle pressure.

The patient holds the water in the colon for about two minutes before it is released. This process may be repeated several times.

Colon therapy is used to help with conditions such as digestive disorders, skin problems, chronic fatigue, headaches, fibroids and back pain.
